How Can You Help Free Others From Their Out-of-Control Anger?

If you are a mental health professional, life coach, probation officer, police officer, clergy, nonprofit organization staff, prison system official, or anyone who wants to facilitate an effective anger management group, this certification program is for you.

Starting a class is a great resource for churches, community centers, low-income families who can’t afford treatment, court-appointed clients, nonprofit organizations, and mental health facilities that want to give back to the community. Temper Tamers programs will allow mental health facilities, private counseling practices, hospitals, state and federal prison systems, churches, community centers, nonprofit organizations, and other types of company structures build new modalities to generate income. No matter what the organizational structure, however, a program facilitator should be a Certified Temper Tamer before leading any class.

The certification program includes everything you need to start your own group, including:

  • High level video instructions on how to teach 36 Exercises and Five “Extra Credit” lessons from the original book Taming Your Temper.
  • Specific guidelines on class timing, structure, and schedules.
  • Troubleshooting tips.
  • Dozens of forms to track clients’ progress, from intake to completion of the program.
  • Every form necessary for reporting and communicating with referral agencies.
  • 12.5 Continuing Education Clock Hours

Mental Health Classes, LLC is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP TM) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.

Most Psychology, Marriage and Family, and Social Work State Boards recognize NBCC Certified Providers. We recommend that you contact your local State Board to confirm.

  • Temper Tamers Teacher’s Manual ($45)

The total cost for the class is $275 (Videos, Test, Certification and both books).
